Last updated: June 22, 2026
Fenestration Rive-Sud inc. ("we," "our company") places great importance on protecting your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, how we protect it, and what your rights are, in accordance with Quebec's Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (Law 25) and Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
1. Information We Collect
We collect only the information you voluntarily provide through our contact form: your name, email address, phone number (optional), and the content of the message describing your project.
We do not collect any sensitive information and use no advertising tracking, profiling, or behavioral analytics tools.
2. Purpose of Collection
Your information is used solely to communicate with you, respond to your quote or information request, and follow up on your project. It is never sold, rented, or traded.
3. Consent
By sending us your information through the contact form, you consent to our use of it for the purposes described above. You may withdraw your consent at any time by writing to the address indicated below.
4. Disclosure to Third Parties
We do not disclose your information to any third party for commercial purposes. Form messages are delivered through the Google (Gmail) messaging service, which we use to receive our email.
We may disclose information where required by law (for example, at the request of a competent authority).
5. Hosting and Transfer Outside Quebec
Because our email passes through Google's services, your information may be stored or processed on servers located outside Quebec or Canada, which are subject to the laws of those jurisdictions. We limit the transmission of personal information to what is strictly necessary.
6. Cookies
Our site uses a minimal number of cookies, all essential to its operation: a language-preference cookie (to remember whether you browse in French or English) and a cookie that records your choice regarding this notice.
We use no advertising, tracking, or third-party analytics cookies. You may delete cookies at any time through your browser settings.
7. Retention Period
We keep your information only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, then securely destroy it, unless a legal obligation requires longer retention.
8. Security Measures
We take reasonable measures to protect your information against loss, theft, and unauthorized access, disclosure, or use, including by limiting access to those who need it.
9. Your Rights
In accordance with Law 25 and PIPEDA, you have the right to access your personal information, to have it corrected if inaccurate, to withdraw your consent, and to request its deletion. Since September 22, 2024, you also have the right to data portability: on request, we will provide the computerized information you gave us in a structured, commonly used technological format. To exercise these rights, contact our personal information protection officer (details below).

In the event of a privacy incident presenting a risk of serious harm, we will take appropriate action and notify affected individuals as well as Quebec's Commission d'accès à l'information, in accordance with the law.

12. Filing a Complaint
If you believe your rights have not been respected, you may file a complaint with Quebec's Commission d'accès à l'information (cai.gouv.qc.ca) or the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (priv.gc.ca).
